Trying to download a $1.29 song on iTunes, but it keeps rejecting my payment method (which is a debit card with plenty of $$ in it, and it's the card I always use). I did notice the billing address is my old house from a year ago....so I'm trying to update the "billing address" only, to no avail. This is assuming that will fixt the issue.

If nothing is successful, then you need to contact Apple Support Directly. This is a User-to-User forum. We are all volunteers. So, as you may suspect, no one here has access to that information — and that is a good thing, BTW. That’s why for Financial Assistance, you need to contact Apple Support. They’ll see what’s going on and will run you through the fix.

Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
I've been trying to Remove my existing CC info, so I can re-enter it, since it won't allow me to update the billing address info. Also, I tried adding leaving the existing card with OLD address, and adding a new payment method with NEW address (and same CC), but it says "that payment method already exists". It won't allow me to remove the original card, because it's "connect to a subscription". Complete madness.
I deleted the card in Apple Wallet on the iPhone and then re-entered the card there.
That seemed to work....either that or it changed the default card and billed a different source.
I'll double-check bank account in morning to make sure it was the correct card now. Thanks
If all else fails, delete the payment method completely in Apple Wallet, then re-enter the payment method with the correct billing address in the process.
That's the ticket! It should work fine for you now.
