Should I fix or replace 5 year old iPad Pro?

my ipad pro is 5 years old, the home button and charging port need replacing. is it worth replacing them or will my ipad likely die soon anyway? should i just get a new ipad?

The customer care rep said things like running an update will solve the problem. I did that, but then the problem of heating and extensive charging did not resolve. Senior (retired) seeking purchasing advice for new iPad to replace failing older model. I am currently using a 5th generation iPad model MP1M2LL/A with some physical failures acquired over the years (e.g. the button for volume control no longer works (yes I use the visual version with touch control), all buttons are quirky and stiff). I would like to replace this basic model with a new basic model but am not up-to-date on all the new lingo. I generally shop Costco or Amazon. This is never used in a work situation only for keeping up with the news, email, occasionally streaming from you tube etc. Anything easy on aged eyes would be a nice option. Is there someone who would be kind enough to recommend a reasonably priced replacement in the $500 range? Advanced appreciation offered.

9.7” iPad Pro Replacement What should I look for as a replacement in the future? I’ve been getting ghost-touch issues with it whenever it’s charging. It’s the 256GB model, amazing in that regard, and I’m not sure what I should replace it with. Not the iPad Mini, but out of what’s currently out, what would be the best value option given the features I currently have. It’s still supported on the software OS end, but I’m not particularly tech savvy when it comes to understanding upgrades.

New iPad.

It is not worth repairing and is long out of warranty, so an actual device replacement, if still available and in iieu of an actually device repair, will cost 60% of this old iPad’s original cost.

Not worth it.

Time for a new iPad model.

unsure if those are repairs apple really offers, seems most repair they do are battery replacement and display replacements
