iPhone 12 Mini Defective

I am one of those who received a defective iPhone Mini (bought Jan). I had even called up customer care (few times) to bring up these issues. The customer care rep said things like running an update will solve the problem. I did that, but then the problem of heating and extensive charging did not resolve.


After a few months, I read in the news that Apple has relaunched 12 Mini as the batches were defective (Defects along the same lines of overheating and overcharging needed.) Can Apple replace my device? Frankly, I don't mind changing to an iPhone 11. :( Please advise.

If you have issues, you should schedule an appointment for service while the device is under warranty. At present, I can find no service program for an iPhone 12 mini https://support.apple.com/service-programs
