Shutdown code for M1

Hi. I am just wondering if there is a manual shutdown code for computers with the M1 chip. Not a forced shutdown, but a normal one. On the Intel there was this cmd-alt-ctrl-eject combination, but this doesn't seem to work on my computer. I am not a fan of using a mouse or touchpad, so a shutdown code would be great. Does anyone know of such a code?

You can create your own keyboard shortcut for the "Shut Down…" menu command. Use an ellipsis, not three periods.

Howdy,

Sadly, I do not have an M1 Mac, but Mac keyboard shortcuts lists two key combinations, one of which you have tried.

Control–Option–Command–Power button* or Control–Option–Command–Media Eject : Quit all apps, then shut down your Mac. If any open documents have unsaved changes, you will be asked whether you want to save them.

* Does not apply to the Touch ID sensor.

It also gives the the combo:

Control–Power button* or Control–Media Eject : Display a dialog asking whether you want to restart, sleep, or shut down.

Does one of them work for you?

Edit: Hmm, I'm not seeing a Media Eject key on the M1 MacBook Air keyboard.
