Daughter handed down her MacBook Air after saving her stuff and wiping, now nothing



after daughter handed down her Mac air Sierra and wiped it clean we don’t know how to reformat… tried everything we seem to be able to find on forum the image is from recovery mode… no Macintosh HD or anything else … where do we go from here? Any help would be fantastic thank you?

That means the installer is not finding any usable disks to install it on.

  • As explained in the link I posted above: “If the installer doesn't see your disk, or it says that it can't install on your computer or volume, you might need to erase your disk first.“

Select the disk, and then click on Erase. Follow the onscreen prompts. Once its done, reboot and try again.
