Dolby Atoms and Apple Support

I'm not able to get Dolby Atmos (the icon just goes off) when I connect with my Bose QC 35 II and Bose QC Earbuds. It works perfectly with my Airpods Pro. I could use Bose with iOS 14.7 but since I've updated 14.7.1 no Bluetooth device apart from Apple devices seem to offer Dolby Atmos.

Apple care is extremely unhelpful, the guy wasn't aware of Dolby and started giving me suggestions without knowing the feature at all. I decided to stop my query when I received a rude reply saying "Apple is not responsible for making Bose Headphones work", that wasn't even my query !!!

I really need a solution, I love my QC 35's and I've enjoyed Dolby on then earlier, I just want it back.

I have restored my phone as well just to give a heads up, any help will be appreciated.

Yes, but what’s also clear is that Apple headphones treat Apple Atmos differently. So imo, until the HP manufacturer concurs support for Apple Atmos, it’s a “no”. That said, if the listening version is (largely) unchanged and only the indicator is an issue, I would ignore it until the product matures.

Looks like correct behavior- Apple’s Atmos is restricted to certain headphones. If it worked before, was probably a false indication, now fixed. Your best option is to switch to lossless. Sorry!

@hcsitas are you sure about this ? As they have an option of “Always on” for supporting other devices as well. Also does it mean I can’t connect any other headphones apart from AirPods range to my device ?
