Terminal, say, problem with voice -v "Daniel"

Hello,

When I use command say in Terminal, I get the following problem:

% say -v Daniel "whats up"
Open speech channel failed: -108

This error occurs only with the voice "Daniel", all the other voices work correctly and I hear the speech, e.g.

% say -v "Alex" "whats up"

Has anyone else met similar problem or may know a solution to this?

I'm using Macbook Air with macOS Big Sur, Version 11.5.2

It turned out that the voice of Daniel was lost during an update for the OS. This problem was now solved following these rules:

Add a new voice

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, then click Spoken Content. ...
  2. Click the System Voice pop-up menu, then choose Customize.
  3. Select the checkbox beside the voices you want to add. ...
  4. When you're done selecting voices, click OK.
