My notes app leeps crashing after making all notes offline on my mac

Hi

I have huge notes library of 3,500 items and over 180gb of files (photos, videos ebooks etc)

i have taken them off line to the on my mac area so i can sort them and make space but now when ever i open my notes it crashes after 10 seconds, i am assuming maybe because i altered user name or something i did.

Can anyone advise on how to go about fixing this issue?

Does the same thing happen when booting in to Safe Mode, Shift immediately are restart. It will do a Repair Disk, clear system cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. Boots slowly - normal.

Then run in this mode for 5 - 7 minutes and Test the Notes Application.

The version of Catalina as per Crash Report above Mac OS X 10.15.7 (19H2) Is out dated and dates back to November 2020.

There have been eleven (11) additional Updates and Security Update to Catalina since that date.

This may or may not come into play regarding your issue.

Best advise at the moment is to run all the additional updates and security update to get to the Catalina 10.15.5 version (19H1323) released July 22, 2021.

Once that is done - revisit the Notes Application issue

What do you suggest i do to get up and running again?

Besides crashing and seen tons of issues in the console such as corrupted database the notes vanish.

I can recopy over the folder (group.com.apple.notes) from the back up (and see then notes again) but the crashing and vanishing persists.

Yeah i did this just now and its the same , starts for 2-4 secs then crashes,

And when i try re opening the Notes app a second time it now shows zero note contents, nothing!

The only way to get all the note contents again (although it keeps crashing) is by restoring the Group Containers files from a back up... but it stil crashes after 2-4 secs
