Mac log-in photo different from apple id photo

Hi guys,

Trivial question I know but it is bugging me... why is my apple ID profile picture different from my log in picture? When I power up my Mac, I am greeted by the log in screen. The log-in profile pic I see is a stock photo of a Penguin. However my Apple ID is totally different... if I change my apple id photo it does not effect the Penguin! The penguin withstands all! Any ideas how I can sync the pictures to be the same?
