How do I find a serial number on an apple pencil?

Oh, you can find the serial number of your Pencil once your Pencil is connected and paired.

For the 1st gen Pencil, plug the Pencil into the Lightning connector, first.

Open the Settings app, General, About. Scroll to the very bottom of this list.

Tap on Apple Pencil.

All relevant information is there.

You might check the box, there is no serial number listed anywhere in the iPad.

Hello ~ Plug in your pencil to your iPad then go to Settings, General, About, Pencil should be at the bottom click on it and you'll get the Serial number, the Model number, the Firmware number and the Software number. Also You can find it on the original package it came in or on your receipt for it. The serial number is also on the Pencil 2 itself if you unscrew the tip and look inside…may need magnifying glass for that one though. Also once found you can enter and check details below:
