I get 'You do not have permission to open the application' when trying to open the latest Drive Genius app.

Is anyone else getting something similar? I saw a solution here for a scanner, but not sure how to handle the same problem with an application.

Open System Preferences>General>Privacy

If you stop at General, Click Open Anyway or Allow after you unlock it by click the lock icon at the bottom left.

If there' nothing at the bottom, continue to Privacy and check if the software needs permission to the kinds of access. After that, check if the software is checked after you clicked the padlock again
