Hello Helpwithairdrop.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you want to know if using AirDrop is dependent upon iCloud storage. We are happy to help.

Using AirDrop isn’t dependent upon the amount of iCloud storage that you have. If you’re unable to use AirDrop, please see the section titled “Before you begin” here: How to use AirDrop on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If your iCloud storage is full, please follow the steps in the section titled “Make more space available in iCloud” here: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

Let us know if you have further questions.

Take care.
