My wife and I just got new 12 Pro Max’s and I noticed a difference between our app switchers. Her’s is all fluid when she goes to switch apps but mine just pops up instantly. Is there a spot in settings where I can adjust this?

Has it been over 48 hours since you've received your iPhone? Did it have iOS 14.7.1 pre-installed on it? Did you set it up as new or did you restore from a backup? Also, since noticing this issue, have you tried to restart your iPhone? If not, we'd recommend to Restart your iPhone.

I have about 113 gig free out of a total of 256 gigs. This is the only thing that does it. I did try setting it up as a new phone and it worked fine so I think it might be a setting that carried over with my back up.

This can help isolate the issue between software and backup. Since the iPhone has already been erased, you can try restoring your backup onto your iPhone and test if the issue continues: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup. If the issue continues, this will confirm there is something in your backup causing the behavior.

The switcher works fine. It’s just not fluid. Most 12’s I’ve seen when someone brings up the switcher, it’s gradual and can be moved around. Mine just snaps up. And I’m on ios 14.7.1
Ios 14.7.1 came preinstalled. It’s been over 48 hours. Set it up as a restore. I have already tried restarting.

No worries. I have restored the back up and the issue still persists.
I just did reset all settings and that fixed it
