deleted my apple Id with airtag still attached

Through my old company mail i had an Apple ID. Which I have deleted. Now i have found out that my airtag was attached to this apple ID. I have reset the Airtag (5 times battery disconnection), but still seems to be attached to the old apple id. How long does it take before the apple id system detects, that a tag can be released from an old deleted Apple ID. ????

I have an air tag associated with another Apple ID and that Apple ID has been killed. How do I reset the air tag to register it with another Apple ID? Had set up a new Apple ID and then did not need it. Killed the entire Apple ID. Did not realize the air tags were still associated with that Apple ID. Unlink AirTag from old device without new device I bought an AirTag last year and associated it with my personal Apple ID on my iPad and everything was working fine, however my iPad suffered a catastrophic failure last month and I don't wish to replace it. I would now like to associate the AirTag with my employer provided iPhone, but since it is set up with a different Apple ID, the process keeps failing since I can't access my old iPad to remove it from that profile. I do not own a personal iPhone or a Mac to use as backup devices. Is there any hope for me to fix this, or am I stuck until I buy a new Apple made phone, tablet or computer? Thanks for any help.

It will be tagged for life to the previous id.
