My iphone, 6s, not only chimes when it is first plugged into the charger. It continues to chime whenever it is touched or moved. I’ve tried different outlets and different charging cords and plugs. It is really annoying when I’m using the phone as a Kindle or using it at all while it is charging. Is there any fix other than putting the phone in silent mode?

Probably a loose connection. The phone only chimes when charging starts, so if it chimes at other times it has lost power and reconnected.
