When charging iphone, it makes a bing noise indicating that it is charging

At night, I plug the phone into a charging cable on the night stand. A few times a week, the phone (ringer down and silent switch on) will issue a sound at intervals of about a minute. Impossible to sleep. When I look at the phone when the sound made, it indicates the charge level and “charging” is noted.

Obviously, don’t need this. Is there a toggle that can be flipped to stop this?

May be something wrong with charging adopter or cable like malfunctioning, loosening etc. so it may make disconnection and re connection of charging again and again. Try a different charger. If it continued get your device checked by apple service.
