SSD for iPad 8 Gen

Would anybody happen to know which size to drive I could use with the iPad eighth generation I guess when it has its own power source I just don’t know where to start looking

The storage size is not really important. The iPad should have no issue with 4 or 8 Tb drives as long as they are formatted correctly.


You will need to format the drive as Fat32, exFat, HFS+, or APFS. You will need a computer to format it though as the iPad offers no way to do that. Make sure it is not formatted as NTFS for Windows as it won’t work with the iPad then.
