macOS Big Sur cannot be installed on "Macintosh HD"

I recently reset my Mac and installed MacOS sierra. I am now trying to install MacOS big Sur, but I get the following error -"macOS Big Sur cannot be installed on "Macintosh HD".

Restart in Recovery Mode >> Command + r << and do a Repair Disk and try again.
