why a grey square when editing phot

When you have a free moment, can you please tell us when he first encountered this issue and if he has made any changes to the settings on his device? Also, can you please tell us all the troubleshooting steps he has taken so far to resolve his issue so that we can avoid repeating them? When possible, please be specific when describing his actions and the outcome after each step. Lastly, please tell us the version of iOS your husband is currently running on his iPhone, and have him give the steps in the link below a try, and if they are unsuccessful, provide us with some specifics on what he sees for more help.
