Whenever I’m using my phone for a while, the brightness of my phone just drops. It’s maximized in the control centre but sometimes it just drops and I can’t set it any higher anymore. Does this have something to do with the temperature of my phone or is it something else.

We see your phones brightness is dimming on its own after a while. As you mentioned, it could be temperature related. To cool the device down it may dim the screen amongst some other things you can see here: Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures
