Flashing folder with ?

My computer is showing a flashing folder with a ?. I tried to reboot it and it shows no startup disk. What should I Do?

When i start my computer all i keep getting is a folder w/ a '?' flashing. I know it means it doesnt/cant find os,but I know theres got to be a way to fix it. How? How do I fix the problem of the flashing folders/ question mark? It is a Mac desktop....
