This is not a problem I am having; just a curious question. When I recieve an iMessage text (using OS Big Sur), it appears on my Mac computer as well as on my iPhone. If I delete a text (i.e. conversation) on my Mac, that same text will still remain on my iPhone although the pop-up indicates that deleting the text will occur across all devices. Could someone please explain this? Thank you so much.

Do you have Messages in iCloud enabled? That is required for everything to be in sync.
Thank you for the response. If indeed the computer is "enabled" in Messages, does that imply that if I delete a conversation on my iPhone that same conversation will be deleted on the computer as well?
One the iPhone >> Settings >> Messages and inside that " Text Messages Forwarding " and check if the computer is listed and Enabled with Green
