Planned obsolescence

The iPhone 6s is still capable or running iOS 14 and will run iOS 15 when it comes out in a few weeks. What are you talking about?

And no, there is no such thing as planned obsolescence. That’s just an unfounded conspiracy created by users who cannot accept their devices are old and can no longer run the current software. Apple executives weren’t sitting around in a dark meeting running 2015 and saying, yes, this iPhone will start having issues in 2021. That is just ridiculous.

What “planned obsolescence" are you talking about? Are you suggesting that Apple should never come out with new products, because you will feel your existing, working, product is somehow defective just because there is a model newer than your 6 year old phone that has additional features?

Everything on your 6S should work as well as it did when the phone was new. And it can even be updated to iOS 15 when it comes out in the near future.
