I have iphone xs max and the screen now is cracked,only need to change the screen when i went to the local provider in my area he told me we must exchange the whole device and i have to pay more than 3000 SAR incredible price..i already purchased the device befor 2 years for more than 5000 SAR!!! I need only to fix the screen or change it why i have to pay all this money to fix such a problem!!!

It only takes a small bit of damage to the frame, to render it incapable of remounting and sealing a display unit. How much experience do you have in inspecting and repairing iPhones? The fact it is currently working has no bearing on the situation the technician has to gauge as to whether the unit can be safely installed after removing the damaged ones. They have guidelines to use to determine this.
I didn’t read anything, this is a user-to-user technical support site operated by Apple. It only takes a small dent in the edge of the frame to necessitate the replacement of the entire phone. I assume since you are saying the tech is wrong you have some background to know better than the tech does. I suggest you go back and ask for the service manager to look at your iPhone.
In other words, you know there is more damage than you have posted about.
Because in inspecting the device the service representative found frame damage which will prevent fitting a display replacement to the phone, hence an out-of-warranty replacement is necessary.
When yo talk to the service manager make a list of questions you have about why they can’t just replace the display unit and show you on your iPhone the problem.
No it’s not about the frame..the frame is in good case..he didn’t tell me this..for your information the phone is completely working only the screen is cracked and i need only to change it even if out of the warranty ,but it is not fair to change the whole phone!!! I cant pay again 3000 SAR
No i don’t have experience in repairing iphones!!should i have experience in repairing and inspecting mobiles to buy iphone!!!? But how u know that the frame is damaged..you only read the technician report…plz escalate my problem beacuse i need to change the screen and it’s not my responsibility that the technician isn’t efficient and fair enough to fix the problem
yes u r right it’s my fault to deal with iphone mobiles which doesn’t offer any support and let employees to trifle with customers
