I would like the home screen to rotate to landscape when I tilt the device accordingly - in the same way you would turn your device to watch a video.
I made sure rotation lock is off, and I set the "zoom" to normal [which the zoomed version prevents as it turns out].
I also activated the AssistiveTouch Top Level Menu, which allows manual rotation but sadly does not influence the home screen.
Any tips?

a couple forums on mac rumors confirm this - reasons range from ensuring proper function of the FaceID feature, to simply being difficult for the system to execute [often flipping the wrong way or being slow in animation].
I'll submit feedback - it'd be nice to have it as an accessibility feature since I cannot be bothered with FaceID.
