Disable Wifi Privacy Warning on home network
Hello!
I love the idea of a Private address when connected to wifi, mostly since I use quite a bit of hotspots here and there, but I hate that both me and my SO gets that warning on our home network, on which I use MAC addresses to filter IoT, homelab, NAS, Media devices (Chromecast, game consoles, etc) and my homelab into different segments (ie 192.168.1.0 for phones/tablets/computers, 192.168.2.0 for media devices etc). And unknown devices, as our iPhones and iPads with Private Address turned on, (172.16.0.0) has access to nothing other than internet.
So, as you can imagine, enabling Private Address on our home network profile would effectively cut us off from all resources on our local network.
I haven't been able to find any information other than enabling Private Address to remove the warning, so does anyone know if it's possible?
If not, I assume that iOS could detect what most likely would be the home wifi network and ask if that is the case (as Cortana did on Windows Phone back in 2015, and used that in automation), and then disable that warning for that network, IF, and only if, Private Address is disabled when asked, or maybe let us dismiss that warning and not having it show up again unless we forget and rejoin the network.
