Hi everyone apple is asking me to update my payment details before I can update a free app only problem is my payment details are iTunes cards and they are not an option. Just keeps putting me in circle trying to update my free game. Does any1 know how to bypass this

Maybe you should check on your apple id account first if there is any problem with transaction because your payment method have an issue, check purchase history for ensure there is no pending transaction before, if you find it so that you have to add your valid payment method to settle it.
Recommend to always update your software device version to the latest one, and if it still pop up then better contact apple support https://support.apple.com/contact
