Touch Bar keeps going black

Hello,

I seem to be having a problem with my Touch Bar on my 2019 13 inch 2 thunderbolt MacBook Pro. The Touch Bar randomly shut down one day. I restarted my computer, it started working again, until I put my computer in sleep mode and when I opened it back up, it was gone again. I contacted the apple support, they sent me a page to restart the SMC, which I did. It solved the issue for a day; but then again the computer went to sleep for a few hours and when I opened it back up, the problem is still there.

I also tried manually restarting the touchbar from the terminal but it still didn't help.

I also want to add that sometimes the Touch Bar screen goes black but I can still touch it and activate Siri.

Other times it goes black and completely irresponsive. When it goes black, it also seems to not show up in the Keyboard settings.

I'm almost sure this is more of a software issue than a hardware issue as the touchbar works very well right after I restart my computer. It just keeps shutting off after a while.

I would appreciate some help, thank you !

The best you can do is—

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

I will add there is some NVRAM involved w/ your T2 chip MBP, therefore

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)

If no resolves this typically indicates a hardware issue:
