Iphone 12 randomly freezes and is unresponsive

less than a month old, my iphone 12 randomly freezes and is unresponsive. I cant type on the screen or anything. Why does it do this? I have to wait at least 5 minutes for it to unfreeze and if I am in a rush, I have to restart my phone entirely.
