Macbook has a screen stuck on it that will not go away

I have a super weird issue with my Macbook Pro. After updating it about 6 months ago, every time I restart my computer, a screen shows up and stays there forever. I am able to use my computer just fine, I'm just never able to see my desktop unless I use multiple monitors. (Which I do every day for work).

Also, on the screen that it stays stuck on, it captures the date and time and wifi connectivity of the computer when it first boots up and stays that way the whole time. See the picture attached for a better example of what it looks like. (Note: When this screen shot was taken, i was connect to wifi and the date was Mon. Sept. 6 7:00am.)
