Q: How to delete photos from iPhone in batches

For the past decade or so, I use my iPhone for taking photos. I then use Image Capture to transfer them to my MacBook, then Image Capture to delete them off my phone. I refuse to use Photos app or pay for cloud storage, I curate my photos in Finder. The word "delete" is grayed out within the Image Capture app. Looking for other methods to delete en masse photos from my iPhone.

Never mind - the delete does appear, but only when photos are in "list" view, not "image" view.
