My home pod keeps saying it can't connect to WiFi but my home mini is working. I want them to sync. They sometimes sync for a very short time and then my home pod turns off.

Try unplugging it for a few seconds.
Reboot your wifi - unplug for 30:seconds, then wait until the connection has been established.
You can check it’s back on with another device , like the iOS device you set up HomePod with.
