How to search on Apple TV

How can I search for programmes I want to watch? there is no search bar and there doesn't seem to be much content.

If you refer to the Apple TV+ website, then there is currently no text search there. The graphical overview displays all the Apple TV+ content that is available for this channel. Note that the rows are scrollable horizontally per row, to reveal more content. This is all “original programming”, not available elsewhere. You won’t find titles known from elsewhere, with a few exceptions.

The Apple TV app on streaming devices has more content, and search functionality. That additional content is separate from Apple TV+ (iTunes Store [buy or rent] and Apple TV app Channels [subscribe per channel]).
