NO.


That screen is NOT a touchscreen, and it is impossible to drop it on a rock (it does not open far enough to allow that).


That eliminates the top reasons to have a screen protector on your phone.


But did you buy AppleCare PLUS?

--if not, screen replacement for a 13-in shattered screen costs about US$650.

--With Apple care PLUS, about US$100.


Buy AppleCare PLUS and live happily ever after.

The other big issue is that, should you need to remove the protector later, most will remove the factory screen coating unevenly and leave a blotchy, irreparable mess.


If you insist on a protector after three people with close to a century of combined Mac experience say, "Run way!" be sure to ask the maker of the protector if they will pay for a new display in perpetuity, i.e., at any time in the future.
