one old mini, one new mini and one monitor

I just purchased an upgraded MacMini. I need to migrate the information off my old Mini onto my new Mini. How do you do a migration with only one monitor?

Plug the old Mac Mini's Time Machine backup into the new Mac Mini during the initial setup and migrate from it.
