backing up
what if I don't have another apple device to log into iCloud to back up, what other options do i have

You don’t need multiple iOS devices in order to backup to iCloud. Many people only have iPhones or iPads and backup to iCloud using the de ice that they want to backup.
If you are signed into your Apple ID on your device, go to Settings>Your Name>iCloud>Apps Using iCloud>iCloud backup>iCloud Backup>On. You can select Backup Now to create your backup.
