Merging songs together in iTunes

I have a number of playlists created in iTunes, which I like to play in shuffle mode as I do not always like to listen to the traditional p order of songs. My issue arises with some classical recordings where one movement is broken into multiple separate tracks, yet if you listen to the movement as a “CD”, they are one continuous song with no breaks in between. How is it possible to take those multiples tracks and create a complete movement which may be saved in iTunes and ultimately in my playlist so that I may listen to the entire movement as one track while I shuffle the songs in said playlist.?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities nomads007,

Thank you for contacting us. You have come to the right place and we are happy to assist you. We understand you're wanting to merge tracks from a CD so it plays through. We can understand why you’d reach out for a solution.

Change Playback preferences in iTunes on PC -- iTunes has a feature called "Crossfade" which will move from one song to the next with no silence between songs. However, this will affect all of the songs in your iTunes library and not just selected songs.

Hopefully this will work for you!

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.

Best regards.

Unfortunately you did not read my initial concern properly, though your response is appreciated. Changing the entire preference in iTunes is not what I’m looking for as I have well over 150,000 songs in my library. I’m looking at identifying a handful of songs by the same classical artist from the same recording to merge into 1 movement and transfer that new movement into a playlist so that when I shuffle the songs in my playlist, the complete movement will not be cut off.
