AirPods flashing on my screen

You know how when you’re gonna use your AirPods they flash on your screen on your phone right? Well mine keep doing that every minute. I’ve disconnected my AirPods from my iPhone. I’ve reset them and it still happens. They’re currently disconnected from my iPhone, my Bluetooth is off and it’s still flashing on my screen. The case is closed too. My AirPod case also tends to flash blinking orange lights when it’s connected/ disconnected from my iPhone.
