Apple Watch Loop Solo Band too tight?

I have just received my Apple Watch with Loop Solo band (size 8) - I followed advice and went for smaller size (measurement fell between 8 and 9). It is just a little too tight / marginally uncomfortable - but I am wondering whether to return it or try it out for a few days - does the Loop Solo stretch a little over time? (have read comments saying this the case) Would the next size up (9) be overly loose (and get looser over time). If I do decide to return it / change it - do I have to wait for Apple to receive retuned strap before they will send out replacement larger size? Thanks

You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it (for essentially any reason)

If you purchased your item from Apple in the U.S., you can take it to any U.S. Apple Store for an exchange. Item exchanges are, of course, subject to in-store product availability. It's a good idea to check if a product is in stock by visiting apple.com and then seeing if it's available for pickup at a store nearby
