Note that all TotalAV does in iOS is website popup ad filtering and they of course provide a commercial VPN (which has become basically a cottage industry of useless services). It does not provide any protection against viruses or malware as the very nature of iOS’s security model and file system sandbox means no such advertised iPhone or iPad antivirus app can do anything regarding that. No third party app has access to another app’s file space so no av scanning is even possible with iOS nor iPadOS.

Commercial consumer VPN’s are, IMO, not trustworthy. While they provide a secure VPN, the VPN company itself can (and many do) see and monitor all your internet traffic. If you’re going to use one, read their privacy policy very carefully to see what you’re actually sharing with that VPN provider.

although it's up to you, I would recommend against it because apple has some of the best security out there so it is no where near necessary to get an antivirus.
