Using Touch id on my iPhone 8, won't recognize my fingerprints for longer than a couple of days. It works just fine for 1-2 days and then won't work. Can you explain why this is happening? It's really aggravating when I am forced to enter my passcode when I am driving.

I don't have a problem with getting Touch ID to work.It will work, but only for a couple of days! Then I have to delete all of the fingerprints and start over. I put two copies of my index finger and thumb in each time, thinking that if one doesn't work the other will. When I go to Settings>Touch ID and Passcode>Fingerprints - then touch the Home Button, it will actually recognize the fingerprints correctly. But only immediately after I enter them. After a couple of days, they're no longer recognized.
