Chrome webpages are black

I'm on a 2018 MacBook Pro 13-inch running Big Sur 11.5.2 and my Chrome browser, which was my main browser, now suddenly has ALL its webpages reversed, white on black. I cannot find a way to fix this. I have switched my Mac from Dark to Light mode, I have reset the browser, I have uninstalled/reinstalled the browser, and yet the problem persists. None of my other Mac friends have this problem. Can anyone help?
