If you're using iCloud Photos, the best way is this:--> Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support

If you're not using iCloud Photos, you can backup everything you want to iCloud or to a computer, as per these instructions:--> How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch – Apple Support
