Reset iPad without password

I want to give my iPad to a neighbour for home schooling I reset it but it’s asking for the password that was used to register the iPad initially I haven’t used it for a long time so I don’t remember

You have run into the Activation Lock. You will need to input the Apple ID and Password that was used when the iPad was setup initially. I understand that you have forgotten the Apple ID and Password. Please see links below and see whether it helps you retrieve the credentials.
