Would the alarm sound if the phone is switched off?

If I switch off my iPhone at night but I still want my alarm to be working in the morning. I had the impression that it didn’t work the other day. Cwoukd you let me kno? I would lie to switch off my phone at night

If the phone is not powered on, no alarm could possibly sound on the phone.
