when backing up iphone to mac, how do I find where the files went?

When I backed up my iphone to my mac, I don't know where my files & photos went. How do I find out?

Here is how to find the backup→Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support, but that won’t do what you want because the backup is a SQLite database and is not accessible without a SQLite database viewer. It can only be used to restore to the iPhone.
