Mobile data not working after being connected to WiFi

If my iPhone is connected to WIFI at any location, upon leaving that location the cellular data will not connect. This is even though I have full signal and cellular data for the affected apps is turned on.

The issue is only corrected by turning the phone on and off again. Sometimes more than one restart is required. This issue has persisted through multiple updates (not something that just started recently).

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Try a soft Network Reset:

Open the control Centre, turn ON Airplane Mode - wait until Cell data, wifi and Bluetooth are all off, then turn airplane mode back OFF.

You can also try resetting network settings - In Settings-General- Reset - Reset Network Settings
