App installing struggle

Hi! I've been trying to install apps on my iPhone but I can't because whenever I try to download an app, it's always asking for my password to view my billing details even though I was only going to download a free app. And then after I put my password (which is correct because i already checked many times) the cycle just repeats. Has any one here also had an encounter with this issue? What donyou think I should do?
