h600 logitech headset - need to restart !

Hello. I have been using the Logitech H600 wireless headset on my MBA 2017 for the past year without trouble. I would plug the dongle into a usb port and wowla!—a second later the headset appears in the sound preferences, but that has stopped! Now I need to restart my MBA to get the headset to appear in the sound preferences. Time-consuming and incovenient. I am using Big Sur 11.5.1

Has anyone any advice? Is there some little setting I can change, an app to download, anything I can do, change, or install to restore the previous quick and easy recognition of the usb dongle?

Thanks for any assist.
