Unable to install Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019

How do I install 2019 Microsoft Office Home & Student on my new MacBook Air? When I install it after purchase and have a log in and everything set up and downloaded, once I go into excel of PPT, I am prompted to "activate" it (and it gives me the prompt to activate Microsoft 2016, not 2019), and then asks me to rebuy the product....

Is this something I can make a Genius Bar appointment for? And under what category would I make the Genius Bar appointment?
